April, May and June in New Zealand!

So this is the next photo post, showing in pictures what I've been up to in New Zealand!

For a couple of weeks, I stayed at this place, Wades Landing Lodge, wwoofing.
Very boring work, and every day too, but I got away a couple of times to take some photos at least.

There was a guy there, Jack, from England, he made sculptures out of driftwood from the Whanganui river.
Awesome stuff.

If you wwoofed for three weeks at the lodge, you got to do one of their canoeing trips for free!
Three days of canoeing on the Whanganui River. Sweet as!

I got paired up with this little(tiny) english girl, Ashleigh.
What she lacked in height she made up for in character! In a good way.

... Don't know this guy.

The legendary Bridge to Nowhere!
But check this out, this is The Bridge to the Bridge to Nowhere!

A possum!

And back at the Lodge...

Another one of Jacks sculptures. This one is in National Park.

And then I went back to Wellington again! Ashleigh was there too.
We went to the Botanical Gardens!

This is how I spent my Birthday, in Taupo!

Craters of the Moon, Taupo.

On my way hitch hiking from Taupo to Rotorua, I got picked up by these two nice girls, Melanie and Theresa!
I hitched along with them for three days!

The Huka Falls, the "biggest tourist attraction in NZ".
It is the place that is visited by the most tourists every year.

Another geothermal area, between Taupo and Rotorua, much better than the Craters of the Moon, but I cant remember the name of this one...

Classic New Zealand sign.

This is the THIRD geothermal area we visited, the Wai-o-Tapo, or something like that.
It's the place with the champagne pool anyway.

The Champagne Pool!

Oh, and they have a geyser too!

A hot spring, in the middle of the forest. Awesome stuff.
I think we sat here for a couple of hours or so! Nice.

These birds are walking around everywhere in NZ, but This is the first time I saw so many of them at the same place, in Rotorua!

Then I went to Hobbiton! In Matamata.
It was very ironic.

What has two thumbs and stars in the new Hobbit movies!?
This Guy!

In Rotorua, I also met the first swedes in a veery long time, Jonna and Natasha!
We went to do the Tongariro Crossing, but it was closed due to bad weather.
We did some walking in the surrounding tracks instead.

I don't know this guy.

Then I had to go back to Wellington again, to do more Hobbiting!

Mt. Victoria again.

This is my working place. But it's secret.
So don't tell anyone.

Wellington by night!

The Red Rocks seal colony, in Island Bay, suburb to Wellington.
Nice place if you're stuck in Wellington!

Did a short visit to Paihia, the Bay of Islands, but the weather was pretty much crap.

I tried to hitch hike up to Cape Reinga, and it resulted in my worst experience in NZ ever!
But it is kind of a long story, it involves hitch hiking in the rain and fanatic christian junkies.
I'll tell you more when I see you.
It ended with me getting a new email telling me to go back to Welly for mor Hobbiting, so I went back to Paihia and calmed myself with some night time photography.

Well back in Wellington, I met this guy!
He did a one man show all across New Zealand to raise money for a theatre in Christchurch, and Kristi was kind enough to give me a free ticket!
